K wósel was launched in January 2023 out of a deep desire to reconnect with her
Xwchíyò:m roots. The passion behind the project was driven by a commitment to
better understand and share these teachings with her children, blending
storytelling through beadwork and cedar weaving.
Her journey into beading began in 2018 when she was first taught by her cousin.
This marked the beginning of a path of discovery, experimentation, and mastery of
various beading techniques. Later, she traveled to her home territories to learn the
traditional and sustainable methods of harvesting and weaving cedar.
