Inspector in a Box was created to help First Nations take control of their housing inspections and renovations. After years in First Nations housing, Stan Knight saw how Nations struggled with high inspection costs, delays in funding, and a lack of local capacity.
Rather than relying on outside contractors, Inspector in a Box equips communities with the tools, training, and support to conduct their own inspections, create scopes of work, and secure funding.
✅ Advanced inspection tools (drones, thermal imaging, moisture meters).
✅ Training & certification for local inspectors.
✅ Accurate reporting & cost estimates for funding applications.
✅ Capacity-building for long-term housing management.
What started as a pilot project is now empowering Nations to manage housing independently, reduce costs, and create jobs.
