Tara White is a Kanien’keha:ka (Mohawk) woman and an Indigenous author who writes from the heart. Her work blends fiction, healing, and culture to support readers on their journey of self-discovery. Through her books, she creates space for emotional honesty, transformation, and growth.
Tara has written over 18 self-published books, ranging from picture books and early readers to novels for youth and adults. Her stories explore real-life challenges, hope, and spiritual renewal. Some books weave in themes of energy healing and emotional wellness, while others center Indigenous youth, friendship, or family resilience. All are infused with purpose.
Her most recent novel, Finding Joy, is a deeply personal story about reconnection, healing, and reclaiming one’s light. Like much of Tara’s work, it draws on her lived experience as both a writer and a healing coach.
As an Indigenous author, Tara is passionate about telling stories that matter. She believes that books can help people feel seen, heard, and empowered. Her goal is to support others—especially women navigating stress or life transitions—to reconnect with themselves and their inner joy.
In addition to her writing, Tara offers coaching services and hosts wellness workshops. However, her books remain the heart of her public offerings and are available through her website and Amazon.
