I created the word Botanacine by combining botany with medicine
Creating healthy products that actually help.
I extract essential oils from the local botanicals I find on our 20 acre farm in the Cowichan Valley. Right now, we have available western red cedar and pacific Douglas fir and I am growing rows of botanicals to harvest and extract.
We also grow nutrient dense micro greens in our vertical gardens that have 40x more nutrients then there full grown selves and only take 8-9 days to grow to harvest . We don’t use any pesticide or herbicides in the process and only water to feed them . With the extra micro greens we don’t sell, we freeze dry them. Freeze drying is a method of preservation, removing all the water to make it shelf stable for 20+ years. With freeze drying we are able to retain 90% of the nutritional value of the product compared to dehydration methods. Once the microgreens are freeze dried, we grind them up into a powder that can be mixed in smoothies or sauces or anything so you can guarantee you get your full amount of vitamins and nutrients.
We also will be freeze drying the fruits we grow supplying healthy fruit snacks for kids instead of sugar.
In our vertical gardens we grow hydroponic lettuce all year round. Saving on land space by growing upwards instead of outward and using less water in our enclosed systems.
