Angie's N8ive Beading

Angie’s N8ive Beading, by Angela La Londe of Okanagan Indian Band, is an Indigenous artist creating handmade beaded earrings and pins. She loves creating new styles! Born and raised on the Okanagan Indian Band reservation, Angie believes it is so important to continue the traditions and culture of her ancestors.

“It’s important our culture stays with us and so we teach our young ones our traditions like beading,” Angie explains in a warm, soft spoken voice. A lot of her beadwork is given to her kid’s teachers and friends. Her kids, after all, are who keeps her going. They love to watch her pieces come together and see all the steps in the process.
