Taxes and Teas; Two Indigenous Businesses from One Visionary

Melanie Bright has her hands full of books and tea!

What we mean by that is that her two businesses are booming! Yes, this Indigenous female entrepreneur has two businesses based in Alberta. One is her bookkeeping business, Four Points Business Consulting and the other is Connected Cuppas, Tea, Gift & Bake Shoppe.

If you have ever had to deal with taxes, a mountain of receipts, or payroll, you know how stressful it can be! This is where Four Points Business Consulting comes in and provides bookkeeping solutions so you can enjoy a sense of peace. Located in Bellevue Alberta, Melanie launched her website and services in 2018 to help people get back to doing what they love and stop filling their days with admin work!

Four Points offers full cycle bookkeeping, transcription services, tax preparation and administration support for businesses. They strive to make your life as a business owner easier, and for that we are thankful!

I’ve got an idea, if you are in the neighborhood of Bellevue Alberta, grab a lemon square and a coffee from Connected Cuppas and go get your taxes done! We call that a double-double!

Connected Cuppas is Melanie’s other, sweeter business. Judging from her reviews, customers love this place and the desserts!

“You are the bread QUEEN”. One happy customer exclaims.

“You don't have to go far to find this delightful jewel in Bellevue”. Another guest raves about the café.

One of the many reasons to come in and meet with your friends here is the award-winning preserves! The Creston Valley Fall Fair claims Connected Cuppas has the best pickled beans and cauliflower in the area!

Grab a bag of premium loose leaf teas to go! Give them as a gift or steep them at home on a wet and rainy day. Connected Cuppas has a variety of flavours for you to choose from!

With fresh soup made daily, this is a one stop coffee shop with a friendly, familiar feel. The bread is made in house too! Yum!

They are open Tuesday to Friday from 9-2pm and if you can’t make it in, you can place a special order for teas online.

We can’t wait for a cuppa from Connected Cuppas! Now I can’t wait for tax season too! (Said no one ever until now.)

Congratulations to this inspirational entrepreneur, paving the way for other Indigenous women in business. Cheers to you!
